In California earthquake between magnitude 6.5 and 7.5 has decreased, but the chances of a higher magnitude earthquake in the region has increased. Two earthquake fault lines, the Newport-Inglewood and Rose Canyon, runs between Los Angeles and San Diego could set off a 7.4 magnitude earthquake.
